Saturday, November 17, 2018 6-8pm Gratitude & Self-Care Yoga Nidra Workshop Life begins to get busier right before the holidays, making it even more necessary to practice self-care and gratitude.
Let’s release what no longer serves us to make room for abundance and blessings through Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, an immensely powerful guided meditation that puts you in a blissfully, relaxed state of being. While in this receptive state, we can get still enough to recognize our many blessings. “Research shows that people who regularly practice gratitude moments are more joyful and experience less depression than those who don’t.” Richard Miller, IREST Yoga Nidra creator.
This healing experience includes gratitude journaling, gentle yoga, guided meditation with Reiki energy healing and essential oils. No prior yoga or meditation experience necessary.
All are welcome.
Yoga con Karla Yoga Nidra Healer, Reiki Master, E-RYT-200
Karla’s heartfelt mission is to spread the message of Self-care and Self-love through Yoga, Meditation and Reiki. Karla began to practice at her local yoga studio at a time when she was healing from a physical injury, navigating motherhood to two sons, being a support system for her family as a navy spouse while her husband frequently deployed overseas. She felt like she was on alert and in survival mode all of the time. That changed when Karla began to dedicate time to self-care on and off her mat over a decade ago. She already knew that she was strong but yoga helped her tap into her vulnerabilities, grace and ease and she completed her initial 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with her first teachers at Chula Vista Yoga Center. A new purpose was born, to share her experience of self-care and self-love with others. She serves the military community, providing yoga through the Naval Medical Center's Mind Body Medicine program and UCSD’s Active Duty Military Chronic Low Back Pain study.
